Leica Biosystems: “LBS scanner pitch”
Digital pathology adoption is accelerating, but time, variability, and scale remain barriers. The new Leica Biosystems scanner is a new end to end workflow built to scale, from adoption to enterprise deployment. Modern pathology demands more than speed alone. As workloads grow and expectations rise; performance must be matched with intelligence and certainty. During the scanner pitch we will show how the new Leica Biosystems scanner brings all together Speed, Intelligence and Confidence in one system. These principles protect time, reduce waste, and support confident decision-making across the lab.

TissueGnostics: “Applications of Tissue Cytometry – Mapping the Tumor Microenvironment in situ”
TissueGnostics was founded to answer a rising need in an observer-independent and reproducible imaging and image evaluation technology for histopathology – tissue cytometry. With more than 3600 reference publications, TissueFAXS modular slide scanners, coupled with StrataQuest image analysis software, help researchers to uncover the hidden in tissues: explore the cellular/tumor microenvironment, analyse the spatial cell-to-cell interactions and proximity to tumors and much more. StrataQuest Apps were specifically developed to streamline the most tedious tasks in spatial biology: quantify any number of phenotypes, analyze spatial relationships to neighboring cells and structures and measure cell-to-boundary distances inside/outside.

Evident: “Beyond Single-Plane Imaging: Volumetric Scanning to Enhance Quality Control and Enable AI-Driven Digital Pathology”
The rapid adoption of digital pathology is reshaping diagnostic workflows and accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into clinical practice and translational research. However, variability in tissue morphology, section thickness, staining quality and scanner focus remains a persistent challenge, impacting diagnostic reproducibility and the reliability of AI-driven analysis. Evident’s Spectral M and Spectral HT platforms address these limitations through advanced volumetric scanning technology that extends beyond conventional single-plane imaging. By capturing depth-resolved information and maintaining consistent focus across uneven or complex specimens, volumetric imaging improves image fidelity, reproducibility and overall slide quality, regardless of sample variability. This enhanced consistency directly supports robust quality control (QC) processes by reducing artefacts, minimising rescans and enabling standardised imaging at scale. High-quality, reproducible image data also form a critical foundation for AI applications. As digital pathology ecosystems increasingly incorporate platforms such as Techcyte, Paige, PathPresenter and Proscia, the need for reliable, information-rich whole-slide images becomes essential for tasks including tissue classification, biomarker detection, workflow optimisation and decision support. By providing a more consistent and data-rich imaging layer, volumetric scanning strengthens the performance and scalability of AI models, particularly in challenging tissue environments where focus variability can compromise algorithmic accuracy. Combined with automation and high-throughput performance, the Spectral HT platform enables large laboratories to meet growing demands for volume while maintaining stringent quality standards, whereas the Spectral M system delivers flexibility for research and specialized applications. Together, these technologies highlight Evident’s commitment to advancing digital pathology through scalable, high-quality imaging solutions that bridge the gap between routine diagnostics, computer-assisted pathology and next-generation precision medicine.
